I remember my high school years driving down what was called hamburger row or hamburger lane. It was the section of town that had nothing but places to get a quick bite to eat. Some would drive-thru and get hamburgers, milkshakes, and other great food to go. But the best memories were made by those who parked. Maybe a bit before my time, but I still like the retro 50's icons.
Carolyn Marshall replied:
Heather, I was just a kid during the 50s, but have fond memories of some of these wonderful times. You can't help but smile when you think of the drive-in food places where the waitresses actually served you on roller skates (not blades, LOL!) It was a fun time for sure.
Carolyn Marshall
Oh, yes! Me, too. Thank you, Cindy.
Carolyn Marshall
Absolutely! I can remember going to these drive-ins and being waited on by waitresses on skates. :-)

Carolyn Marshall
Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw him. Gosh, does it make you feel old when you can actually remember "being there" as opposed to just seeing the pictures of it and imagining what it was like. :-)
Diannah Lynch
I remember him :) Sweet childhood, (and grown-up), memories...Great shot, Carolyn!
