The sun glistens on a winter parched, grassy meadow at the Withlacoochee River Park, in Florida, making a beautiful golden field. Bright orange glades of grass are highlighted by the cream colored wildflowers. This image of nature reminded me of the scripture in 1 Peter 1:24-25 which says, “For, ‘All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.’” Image also available without the scripture in my Landscape gallery.
I have been a photographer for many years. For so long, in fact, that I can no longer imagine my life without a camera to capture its special moments. It took me quite some time before I was able to connect myself to being an artist, because in my mind a photographer and an artist were two distinctly different things. While they were both creative, they used entirely different processes to achieve their artistic goals.
