Artist's Description

The beautiful evergreen tree or shrub called the Bottlebrush is common in Florida, but it is native to Australia. It mostly grows in areas where the soil is moist in open or wood land. It is from the family Myrtaceae and is also known as Callistemon. This image was taken at Eureka Springs Park, Tampa, Florida, during the month of April. The bright red flowers also attract butterflies.
