The beautiful long green with blue tipped spikes of this colorful bromeliad (Bromeliaceae Billbergia) lay on the ground nestled in the surrounding green leaves. This photo was taken in February at Eureka Springs Park, Tampa, Florida.
About Carolyn Marshall
I have been a photographer for many years. For so long, in fact, that I can no longer imagine my life without a camera to capture its special moments. It took me quite some time before I was able to connect myself to being an artist, because in my mind a photographer and an artist were two distinctly different things. While they were both creative, they used entirely different processes to achieve their artistic goals. Thank you, Denise. This was a great find for me. I have gone back to that same location many times. Unfortunately, due to many frosts and freezes in our Florida area, they have not returned like this in that location. I haven't found another one since this was taken.
