Description
This exotic tropical delight is called a gout plant or Jatropha podagrica, from the Euphorbiaceae family. It has many nicknames such as Gout Stick, Buddha Belly, Guatemala Rhubarb, and Tartogo. It makes a beautiful natural bonsai arrangement, too. It can grow to heights of 2-3 feet. It has a knobby, swollen stem with red flowers that grow in large terminal clusters. This particular image doesn't show the red flowers yet, but I will be uploading some of those soon. Photograph taken at Eureka Springs Park, Tampa, Florida.

Beautiful, love the drops, Carolyn.
Carolyn Marshall replied:
Thanks, Sandi. It was right after a rain, and everything was wet. I love shooting in and after the rain. :-)

Beautiful Carolyn!!
Carolyn Marshall replied:
Thanks, Deborah. I have been sitting on these two images for the longest time because I couldn't find what they are.
