I have been a photographer for many years. For so long, in fact, that I can no longer imagine my life without a camera to capture its special moments. It took me quite some time before I was able to connect myself to being an artist, because in my mind a photographer and an artist were two distinctly different things. CAROLYN, A VERY UNIQUE AND INTERESTING CAPTURE! THE DRAGON FLY REALLY MAKES THIS SHOT A SPECIAL ONE. I HOPE YOU USED A TELEPHOTO LENS AND NOT A MACRO TO CAPTURE THIS SHOT, LES
Carolyn Marshall replied:
Thank you, Les. Yes, I used a Nikon 70-200 2.8. I don't have a true macro lens (yet), so, for the most part, my macro-looking shots are from this lens or the 70-300 I had before. I truly LOVE this lens!

I love it! You even have the dragonfly's reflection in the water. voted and favorite
Carolyn Marshall replied:
Yes, isn't that cool! Thanks for the V/F. I have some more I took at another place nearby where the dragonflies are dancing all around him. I need to get those up, too. Didn't want to overdo the gator thing. :-)
Carolyn Marshall
Thank you, Laurie. This was at a fishing camp. The gator was preoccupied waiting on the fish parts to be dumped in the water. :-)

Oooh!!! How cool that you got the dragonfly sitting on the alligator!!! Awesome image, Carolyn!!!
