I was walking around a pond during the summer in Tampa, Florida and noticed a lot of fish swimming. Some of them were resting in holes they had made for themselves on the bed of the pond. I liked how the sun reflected through the fins on this one.

I have been a photographer for many years. For so long, in fact, that I can no longer imagine my life without a camera to capture its special moments. It took me quite some time before I was able to connect myself to being an artist, because in my mind a photographer and an artist were two distinctly different things. While they were both creative, they used entirely different processes to achieve their artistic goals. This guy was probably about two feet or so under water. I probably spent an hour that day walking around the pond watching the fish and turtles. It was fun!
