This is not a Dusky Lory, it's a Duyvenbodes Lory.

You are absolutely correct, Julie, and thank you for bringing that to my attention. I also have the Dusky Lory in some other shots that were edited and posted at the same time (not here). I guess I accidentally carried the Dusky info over to this one. Will definitely correct it. Thanks!

Artist's Description

This species is called Duyvenbodes Lory and is also known as the Brown Lory. The scientific name is Chalcopsitta duyvenbodei. It is very uncommon, and not much is known about it in the wild. This beautiful bird is native to northern, mainly coastal, New Guinea. It has unique colors of daffodil yellow and shades of brown. Some areas of its body have shades of violet and blue.
