Carolyn Marshall replied:

Thank you, Marvin. So much history all around us. We just have to get out and see it. Your photography shows that, too.

Artist's Description

The first electric streetcar lines in Tampa were built in 1892. They became a very essential part of the everyday lives of the workers who took the trolley car transportation to their jobs in the cigar factories of west Tampa and to downtown areas. With the continued growth of Tampa, the streetcars are back servicing the downtown area, Channelside and Ybor City. It is a big support to Tampa's very active cruise industry, too.
